ABOUT

So here’s the deal.

We’re no spring chickens, and my wife and I have tried to get pregnant through 9 failed attempts through IVF. We did have two actual pregnancies, one through IVF and one natural conception (following a visit to a Balinese witch doctor), but nothing past 5 weeks.

This year, we moved to Bali for 5 months and because of the magic that this island has to offer, as well as the stress-free, relaxed environment, not only did we manage to reconnect on an emotional level, I was also able to refocus on what’s truly important in my life. A revelation that has ultimately led my wife to a unique case of Bali-Belly…the type that takes about 9 months to get out of her system.

This is our first (and probably, only), child and my dad was half my age when they first had me. So, I’m definitely no expert, but I am documenting this journey with all the tips and advice that I discover along the way.

Here’s to the greatest adventure of our lives, so far.

Wish me luck!

(Oh, and her too, of course…love you, honey 🙂 xx)

daddownunder saying hi, there’s a lot to be said for 5 months out of the system! Great to have another Dad on board, hopefully our paths will cross at some point. Keep up the dadding!

Hey daddownunder, indeed it seems we move in similar circles already, and no, I don’t mean one shoe nailed to the floor. Recently I’ve met up with a few other Daddy Bloggers and we’ve thrown a few ideas around that we can do together. It’s a brand new world for me that I never realised I was missing out on, but good to know there are “others” out there that we can all glean from. Keep on, keeping on…Dadgum Style 😉

Howdy! I am a 40…8 year old dad of twin boys, born March 2011. To say the last 2 years (and more) have been full-on would be pretty much on the mark! Finding time to sit down and find a blog which I can relate to even took a bit of planning. Anyway, I’m here now and enjoying your tales, some I think back on already with misty eyes, others I don’t want to think about much anymore! Keep up the good work and never forget to laugh…it’s the only way we’ve survived so far!

Hey Craig, twin boys? I tip my hat to you, Sir. I can’t even possibly imagine what life is like with two little rascals. Although, if they were your first, then fortunately, you don’t know anything different so it’s probably the better way to go, with twins. Straight up, off the bat. And thank you for your kind words about my blog, it’s humbling to know there’s other dads out there that can relate to and be entertained by my own experiences. Glad to have you on board and I promise to keep laughing every day. My sanity demands it.

I hope you find reading our adventures just as entertaining as it was for me, bringing him into the world. Wait…not quite sure if that sounded quite right, the way I meant? What I mean is…have fun and enjoy, (I think I’m in the clear now?). 😉

Don't leave me hangin'. What's your thoughts?
